She specializes in issues including anxiety, depression, stress and relationship conflict, childhood/family trauma, life transitions, attachment-focused issues, and grief. Emily provides counseling for adults, college students, and adolescents 10 and above.
Typical goals for Emily’s clients include coping skills development, working through interpersonal conflict, and processing through difficult life transitions.
Emily received her Master of Social Work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2019. Since that time, Emily has provided mental health services to teen and adult survivors of sexual assault, underserved populations, college students, couples, and foster families. She is passionate about helping clients of all ages utilize methods of healing that work for them. Emily is especially interested in using art as a means of therapy.
Additionally, Emily has training in providing support to clients wishing to incorporate their Christian Faith into their treatment goals. To ensure the comfort of each client she offers faith-focused counseling by request.
Wherever the client is, she is excited to be part of the client’s journey to help them gain a better sense of self.
